What do you need your iPhone to do

by Eric Berto
published on: 06/27/2007

The iPhone is so close, I can almost feel my coffee-fueled fingers scrolling through my emails now. We're working on some killer apps that will blow you away (not literally of course).

iphone5

The first App we're going to roll out will be the Etelos CRM suite of modularized CRM tools. As you can see, we've got it working and we just need some iPhones for people to use them on. So, when is June 29 again???

We will be releasing this interface with the Professional, Enterprise and Developer editions of Etelos CRM just as soon as we get our hand on the real thing.

Sure you can have iCal on this thing, but now you can have your company's CRM system showing your tasks (above). In addition, you can listen to iTunes while sending out a group message to your prospects while riding a ferry across Puget Sound... I'm just saying.

Take your world with you, even your appointments. Soon it shall be here. But until then, watch the video again and see just what Etelos can make your iPhone do.

So what's the big deal?

Actually, we can already use our CRM on our BlackBerries. The browser for the iPhone is much better than the BlackBerry and we can't wait.

We will be celebrating with the release of new features to the Etelos CRM for Google Apps, Netvibes, Pageflakes and Windows Live family of apps so both our development partners as well as users can enjoy the freedom of taking their app with them on their iPhone.

One other thing I wanted you to be aware of. Online documents and content management? We've got that too :)

So when will this be available?

Look for an announcement next week!

I recommend that users just sign up for the Pro versions and they'll get the notice about the IPhone interface next week. After we test it.

I am testing this comment with a real iPhone. Although it is taking some getting used to, it seems very adequate to use with the crm...

I own a very promising consumer product startup company and am overly interested in a CRM that will work on the iPhone. We have been in the market for a CRM for a couple months and the ability to operate from cell phones has been a point of contention for us. After testing the iPhone for a couple days straight now, the "want" to use a CRM on a mobile phone has now changed to a "need".

BTW, I too am testing my first web comment on my iPhone right here & now. I have used this non-stop since Friday and have finally surpassed my ctazy cell-phone typing speeds this early a.m.

Chester, you are correct in the importance of having a mobile CRM. I think that when you get to play with the Etelos CRM, you will e able to find a new level of productivity. Look for an announcement soon.

In the meantime, you can begin using the Etelos CRM now by signing up at www.eteloscrm.com.
